The puff quilts were started when her daughter announced that she was pregnant. Dma began a baby quilt in shades of pink. After completing it, in order to cover all basis, a blue quilt was cut out and stitched. Then it was announced that she was carring twin boys! Sewing the puff quilts became a real delight.
At the baby shower, the oohhs and aahhs came when the puff quilts were displayed. Orders started to come for the soft, cuddly puff quilts.
Debbie Roome is affectionately dubbed "Dma" by her five grandchildren. Sewing has been a passion since she was a teen.
After retiring from a job with the State of Texas for 28 years, I began to look for something to fill my time that I could enjoy doing. I love children, especially my grandchildren. They are my inspiration. I have enjoyed sewing things that they can use. The puff quilts have been a great success.
This new chapter in my life is being written as I seek to follow what the Lord has for me in my senior years. I thank my family for their support and love.
